We speak to the best breweries in the country every week, finding out what they are brewing, and bringing the best craft beer together in one place, as quickly as possible after brewing, so that you don’t need to shop around.

Our Approach
Supporting small and independent breweries from Glasgow, throughout Scotland and the wider UK, and across the world is really important to us. We could stock beer from breweries owner or part owned by multi-national companies. That inevitably means that the beer we sell is more expensive than you’ll find in supermarkets but we’d rather support businesses where quality and craft are more important than churning out cheap beer.
We speak to the best breweries in the country every week, finding out what they are brewing, and bringing the best craft beer together in one place so that you don’t need to shop around.
Proudly independent, we are funded from savings and hard work. For that reason we’ve been constantly developing the shop since we opened as the bank balance allows. And we’ll never stop, constantly tweaking to make things better. We’re always looking for fresh new and innovative breweries to add to the shelves and fridges.

Welcome to Wee Beer Club, our monthly beer box service for beer lovers who just can’t choose which beers they’d like to try each month from the huge range we offer.
Take the time and pain out of choosing and let me surprise you with a selection of beers from our premium stock every month – IPAs and pales, porters and stouts, lagers, sours. I’m not buying pedestrian, run-of-the-mill beers to fill your box like other subscription services do. You’ll be receiving the same premium beers that you’ll see in the fridges or on the website, just without the hassle of choosing them.
For your £10 a week (and normal shipping costs) you’ll typically receive 7 or 8 beers, depending on what’s fresh in from breweries that month (although I might throw in a classic every now and again). Don’t expect big hitting Triple IPAs or Imperial Stouts – the boxes will focus on well-balanced sessionable beers.
Your payment method will be re-applied each month you remain a member, and you’ll receive your box at the start of each month, ready to enjoy.

Background
In 2015 Sandra and I moved from the west end of Glasgow to the southside. At that time I was looking to change careers, fed up with working for the man, promoting products and services I didn’t believe in, in a corporate marketing job. I also quickly got fed up with having to travel back to the west end, visiting the sadly departed Hippo Beers, Valhallas and The Cave, to buy beer.
Inspired by those shops, and bottle shops in London, I decided to open the first dedicated beer bottle shop in the southside.
Unforeseen delays delayed the launch of the shop but we eventually opened in October 2017. The Glasgow beer landscape had changed in that time. Grunting Growler and Good Spirits Beer had opened, Hippo had closed, and closer to home now friends Marchtown and Koelschip Yard had also opened, creating a healthy beer scene in the city, and one that we are proud to be a part of.
I wanted to become both a destination for serious beer fans and also a local shop servicing the community when they wanted a tasty beer. I’m proud that we have managed to achieve both those aims and we welcome customers from near and far, many of whom have become friends. One of the best things about the shop is the ability to have a blether with like minded people.
